GenZipher 1.0
GenZipher 1.0 was the signature hackathon event organized by the CSSL GenZ Chapter of UCSC, bringing together students passionate about technology, innovation, and collaboration. The event was designed as a platform to inspire undergraduates to explore emerging trends in the tech industry while building meaningful connections within the student community.
The competition began with an online preliminary round where participants competed in Capture The Flag (CTF) and competitive programming (CP) challenges designed to test their problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and technical knowledge. Based on their performance, the top teams were selected to advance to the final round.
The finale was held physically at the OrelIT Global Innovation Centre, where finalists faced a real-world development scenario. Teams were required to design and implement solutions while also solving additional CTF challenges integrated into the competition.
GenZipher 1.0 concluded with project demonstrations and evaluations, where teams showcased their solutions and approaches to the challenges presented. The event successfully fostered innovation, teamwork, and hands-on learning, marking an important milestone for the CSSL GenZ Chapter of UCSC in empowering the next generation of tech innovators.
